When we allow reformation to being within us, the church itself is re-formed--becoming living witness to Christ's unchanging, life-changing love.

Our Story
For over 150 years, Trinity Reformed has served the early settlers of Scottdale, PA as a place where faith is deep, love comes first, and the Spirit is always moving.
We formed in 1873, gathering in homes before building our church on North Chestnut Street, where we still worship today. Over the years, we’ve grown, changed, and embraced new ways to live out Christ’s love. While we became part of the United Church of Christ (UCC) in 1957, people in our town knew as "The Reformed Church—because reformation is who we are.
But reformation isn’t just our past—it’s our future. We believe God is always at work, reshaping the Church and calling us to deeper love. That’s why we’re reclaiming our name and stepping boldly into a new season of faith:

Meet The Pastor
I grew up un-churched and didn't find my way into the faith until college. Even at that, I did a good bit of church hoping until I found a place where I could be authentically myself without someone imposing upon my internal sense of self and morality. I wanted to be able to draw closer to God and other people within the faith without having to think as others or how others expected.
My first career was Speech-Language Pathology, and when i took a year off to start my family, I discovered I'm not the stay-at-home-mom type. I accepted a part-time position as a Christian Education Director at my church where I could have my daughter alongside me. I found that I was teaching and learning the bible alongside the children so that period turned into called when my pastor encouraged me to deepen my education at the Penn West Academy of licensed ministry (now the Keystone Academy). From there a teacher at the academy encouraged me to go into seminary because she believed I had gifts for ministry. I enrolled at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and started serving churches as a student pastor from 2014 until I was ordained in 2020.
In every church I've served across Southwest PA, I've learned the same thing: the more of each other we see and love in the way of Christ, the more of God we get to see and love as well.
I'm not a pastor of indoctrination. Faith is life long and spoon-fed answers stunt our growth and development. I'd rather explore, ask questions, and wrestle honestly with the world within and outside of our own selves. As we are to be ever reforming in Christ, the church should be too. Judgement isn't my job. I believe the work of a pastor is to witness where I see God's presence in our history, in our world, in you, and within myself so that we can be ever reminded that we do not walk this journey alone.
Here in Scottdale, our first years together were about surviving and recovering from the pandemic. Lately we've been living into a strategic plan to renew the image and work of our church. I feel God pulling us toward more creative ministry, and I can't wait to meet the people who will help cast that vision alongside me and our faithful few.
Outside the church, you will find me painting, practicing yoga, boxing, and spending time with my family. Come join us! We are a welcoming group of people and I aim to be a safe person for all walks of life and all levels of belief or unbelief.
