Theme: Rest is in the rhythm. Joy is in the surrender.
Step 1: Prepare Your Space
Find a quiet place. Breathe deeply. Let your body settle. Play the video and watch it once all the way through without trying to analyze—just observe.
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven...” – Ecclesiastes 3:1
“He said to them, ‘Come away… and rest a while.’” – Mark 6:31
Step 2: Watch with the Eyes of the Soul
Play the video again, this time slowly. Pause if you need to. Notice:
The slow decay of leaves in fall
The silence and stillness of winter
The blooming of new life in spring
The fullness and abundance of summer
Nothing in the forest resists its season. It simply receives it.
Reflection Questions
Which season do you feel like you’re in right now—personally, emotionally, spiritually? Is it a time to build, or a time to let go?
What part of your life is asking to rest, even if the world says keep going?
Are there excuses you’ve been holding onto that keep you from stepping into a new rhythm—however justified they may be?
What would it mean to resist burnout not with bitterness, but with trust?
Prayer
God of seasons, You marked time before we ever named it. You built cycles of dying and blooming into every tree, every river, every heart. Teach me to move with You—not faster than Your grace, not slower than Your mercy. Let me accept the season I am in, without shame, without striving. And in this sacred turning, may I find a rhythm that heals. Let rest be my resistance. Let joy be my uprising. Amen.
